Roseboro parade route/details
12 Dec 2018 by Kristy Carter
Parents,
As explained in yesterday’s message, parents should drop off and pick up their dancers at the Roseboro United Methodist Church, 300 Broad Street. We will be allowed to wait in the church if needed.
Officials with the town just sent us the final information on the parade, and dancers need to be at the church at 6 p.m., not 6:15 p.m. The parade starts at 7 p.m.
Our entry number is 11, therefore we are in the beginning portion of the parade. ALL students, regardless if they are riders or walkers, need to be picked up as soon as they arrive back at the drop-off point. We can not hold dancers until the end of the parade.
Below is the parade route.
Begins on Broad Street and heads south down Broad Street towards Butler Funeral Home
Left onto Roseboro St, continues thru downtown to intersection at NAPPA and BB&T
Left onto N. East St (which is also Highway 242) for 2 blocks
Left onto North Street and go one block
Right onto NE Railroad Street (road splits to the left)
Return to Johnson Street or Eddie’s Tire. Be careful for walkers and other parade participants.
Again, we are monitoring the weather. As of right now, there is a 100 percent chance of rain. While the parade will happen rain or shine, we DO NOT participate in the parade when it is raining.
We will make a final announcement Friday morning about pulling out if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
